F (fall) or S (spring) - the semester in which the course must be
taken due to course availabilty or major sequencing.
*Studio Electives: May be any studio course offered throughout the
college, and should include "Professional Electives" and "Competency Electives".
Professional electives: Electives that are especially helpful for
a particular design area are listed as "Professional Electives." These
are highly recommended by the faculty to amplify the basic curriculum
for each discipline.
The professional electives for Interior Architecture are: Conceptual
Drawing, Exhibit Design, Sustainable Design, Mural Painting and Architecture,
Rendering, Introduction to CADD, Introduction to Computer Design, Introduction
to Multimedia, Marketing, Manufacturing Process I and II, Light and Lighting,
Glassblowing, Cold Glass working Techniques, Hot Glass Casting, Beginning
Metals, Intermediate Metals, Welding, Introduction to Fibers, Flexible
Structures. Furniture Design, Color Theory and Applications.
**Competency Electives: Competency must be demonstrated in Technical
Drawing DE215 by all Architectural
Design majors .
Students with prior course work or portfolios demonstrating
competency in these areas can have these requirements waived or receive
credit and should consult with the department chair. |
